As you know Korea is still divided country.

여러분께서도 아시다시피 한국은 아직도 분단국가입니다.

South Korea, the Republic of Korea have gotten great benefits from the United Nations. The United Nations prevented North Korea from invading us during Korean War. We will never forget the sacrifice of the United Nations Soldiers and American Soldiers.

남한 즉 대한민국은 유엔에 큰 은혜를 받아왔습니다. 유엔은 북한이 한국전쟁때 남한을 침략하는 것을 저지해주었습니다. 저희들은 유엔군과 미군의 희생을 결코 잊지 않을 것입니다. 

We sincerely thank the United Nations saving South Korea during Korean War. With the great help of the United Nations, South Korea enjoys prosperity and democracy while North Koreans have been suffering from dictatorship.

저희들은 한국전쟁때 한국을 구해준 유엔에 진정으로 감사를 드립니다. 유엔의 커다란 도움으로 남한은 번영과 민주주의를 즐기고 있는 것과 대조적으로 북한 동포들은 독재로 신음하고 있습니다. 

That's why we really appreciate United Nations resolution to denounce North Korea dictatorship oppressing human rights of North Koreans with some international sanctions.

바로 그것이 유엔이 북한독재정권의 인권탄압을 규탄하고 제재를 가하는 것이 진정으로 감사를 드리는 이유입니다.

진리가 인류를 자유롭게 할 것입니다. 

Global heritage based on the truth is to help the people make it possible to share mutual understanding of diverse cultural heritage for better world. 

진리에 기반을 둔 인류유산은 인류가 보다 나은 세계를 위한 다양한 문화유산에 대한 상호 이해를 나누는 것을 가능하게 하는 것을 도와줍니다. 

That's why we ask UNESCO Memory of the World to decide whether Kwangju May 18 Incident can be registered to the List of UNESCO Memory of the World or not with the truth of Kwangju Incident.    

바로 이것이 저희들이 유네스코 세계기록유산에 광주 5.18 사건을 유네스코 세계기록유산 리스트에 등재할 것인지 결정하는데 진리에 의하시라는 것을 청원하는 이유입니다. 

    

That's why we are here with you today.

바로 그것이 저희가 오늘 여러분과 함께 하는 이유입니다.

We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth.

Because truth needs our sacrifice and courage.

Yet we believe there is a just God who rule us for justice.

인류는 고통스러운 진리에 대하여 눈을 감기 쉽습니다.

왜냐하면 진리는 우리에게 희생과 용기를 필요로 하기 때문입니다.

하지만 정의를 위하여 인류를 지배하는 정당한 하나님이 계시는 것을 믿습니다.

We firmly believe that UNESCO Memory of the World observe good faith and justice toward all nation.

저희는 유네스코 세계기록유산이 모든 나라에 대하여 선의와 정의를 준수하는 것을 굳게 믿습니다.

That's why we submit our petition about whether Kwangju Incident is registered to the List of UNESCO Memory of the World or not. 

바로 그 때문에 저희는 광주사건을 유네스코 세계기록유산 리스트에 등재할 것인지 여부에 관하여 청원을 제출하는 이유입니다. 

In the Bible Jesus Christ let us know the truth shall us be free.    

Buddha taught his apostles to live with the truth all the time.

성경에 예수 그리스도는 진리가 인류를 자유케 하리라는 것을 알게했습니다.  부처는 제자들에게 항상 진리대로 살라고 가르쳤습니다.

Recently we happen to know there is a move to register Kwangju Incident to the List of UNESCO Memory of the World.

최근 우연히 광주사건을 유네스코 세계기록유산 리스트에 등재할려는 움직임을 알게 되었습니다. 

We do not know about the information of the Proposal for UNESCO Memory of the World.

That's why we have some difficulty to write our petition.

저희는 유네스코 세계기록유산에 대한 제안 정보를 전혀 알지 못합니다.

때문에 저희들은 청원을 작성하는데 어려움을 겪습니다.

However  we have many proofs about the truth of Kwangju May 18 Incident. We will submit proofs to UNESCO Memory of the World sooner or later

여하튼 저희들은 광주 5.18 사건에 대하여 많은 증거들을 가지고 있습니다. 저희들은 조만간 유네스코 세계기록유산에 증거들을 제출할 것입니다.  

Kwangju Incident was a tragedy resulted in death of 166 civilians, 23 soldiers and 4 policemen. The toll of death was 164 civilians in 1980 Supreme Court's judgement and 166 civilians in 1997 Supreme Court's judgement.

광주사건은 166명 민간인 23명 군인 경찰 4명이 사망한 비극이었습니다.

사망자의 통계는 1980년 대법원판결에서는 민간인 164명, 1997년 대법원판결에서는 민간인 166명이었습니다.

Supreme Court judgement in 1980 and 1997 were nearly the same about the toll of death in civilians.   

1980년과 1997년 대법원판결은 민간인 사망자 통계에 관한 한 거의 같은 수치였습니다.

The toll of death of soldiers and policemen is the same in their judgement in 1980 and in 1997.

1980년 판결과 1997년 판결 군인과 경찰관 사망자 통계는 똑 같습니다. 

However their judgement were quite different.

하지만 그들 판결은 너무나 달랐습니다.

Supreme Court judged Kwangju Incident as rebellion or insurrection in 1980 while Supreme Court judged Kwangju Incident as democratic revolution in 1997.

1980년 대법원은 광주사건을 반란 또는 폭동으로 판결한 것과 대조적으로 1997년 대법원은 광주사건을 민주주의 혁명으로 판결했습니다.  

Kwangju May 18 film in North Korea as well as in South Korea denounced the United States, South Korea army and South Korea government as the principals of Kwangju massacre.

남한과 북한의 광주 5.18 영화는 모두가 다 미국과 한국군과 한국정부를 광주학살의 주범으로 규탄했습니다.

At last new incredible proofs about Kwangju Incident appeared to us when defectors from North Korea entered here in South Korea.

드디어 북한탈북자들이 남한에 들어오면서 광주사태에 관한 놀랄만한 새로운 증거가 나타났습니다.  

Ex- North Korea special force soldiers who are defectors in December 20, 2006 interviewed with the press about the truth of Kwangju Incident and recently even published a book named brilliant fraud drama May 18 substance quite different from Supreme Court judgement in 1997 and so called Kwangju Special Law.    

전 북한 특수부대 군인 탈북자들이 2006년 12월 20일 광주사건의 진실에 관하여 언론과 인터뷰를 하였고 최근에는 그들이 화려한 사기극의 실체 5.18 이라는 책을 발간하였는데 1997년 대법원판결과 광주특별법과는 현저하게 다른 내용입니다.

They insisted that about 600 North Korea special force soldiers came to Kwangju and killed innocent Kwangju citizens as if South Korea soldiers killed Kwangju citizens.

They disclosed that North Korea soldiers and spies spread rumor far from the truth as if Kyungsang Province soldiers came to Kwangju to kill Cholla Province citizens.       

     

그들은 약 600명의 북한특수군이 광주에 침투개입해 무고한 광주시민을 총으로 사살하고는 마치 남한 군인이 죽인 것처럼 날조했다고 주장했습니다.

그들은 북한군과 간첩이 마치 경상도 군인들이 전라도민들을 죽이려고 광주에 왔다는 루머를 퍼뜨렸다고 폭로했습니다.

TV and newspapers have not paid any attention to the witness of defectors. Yet the day will come when the truth will get victory.

텔레비전과 신문들은 탈북자들의 증언에 아무런 관심을 보이지 않지만 진리가 반드시 승리할 날이 올 것입니다.

Because we firmly believe the truth will get victory just like so called a symbol of victory of the truth of a jew france soldier named Dreyfus falsely charged with Germany spy during world war.  

왜냐하면 세계대전 동안 독일간첩으로 누명을 쓴 유태계 프랑스 군인의 진실이 승리한 것처럼 진실이 승리할 것을 굳게 믿기 때문입니다. 

Heritage Foundation Report about the Truth of Kwangju Incident

광주사건의 진실에 관한 해리티지 재단의 보고

South Korea's Kwangju Incident Revisited by Plank, Daryl M, in Heritage Foundation Asian Studies is a objective proof about the Kwangju Incident.

플랭크 다릴 M  해리티지재단의 아시아연구 남한 광주사건의 재조명이라는 보고서는 1985년에 작성한 광주사건에 관한 객관적인 증거입니다. 

The report saying about the truth of Kwangju incident as stated in the accompanying sheet is as follow  

별지와 같이 보고서는 다음과 같이 광주사건의 진실을 전합니다.

Only two rioters were killed during the first two days of the confrontation in Kwangju Incident, nevertheless there were reports that as many as 40 people had been killed during the first day of strife : in fact, no one had been killed.

광주사건 대치 첫 이틀 동안에 폭도들은 두 명만 죽었습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 대치 첫날에 무려 40명이나 죽었다는 보고들이 있었습니다. 실제로 첫날 아무도 죽지 않았습니다.

Most bizarre rumor was that, Kwangju citizens more fierce, the troops had been starved for several days and given drugs before coming to Kwangju.

광주시민들을 더욱 거칠게 자극한 가장 괴상한 루머는 군인들이 광주에 오기 전에 몇일 동안 굶기고 환각제를 먹였다는 것입니다. 

Toll of 191 deaths (foot note 164 civilians 23 soldiers 4 policemen) is correct.

191명 사망자 통계(필자 주, 164명 민간인, 23명 군인, 4명 경찰관)는 정확합니다.

In the tradegy's aftermath, the government, together with a Kwangju-based relief organization, gave about $ 16,000 to the families of each of the death.

비극이 끝나자 정부는 광주 민간기구와 함께 사망자 가족에게 16,000 달러씩을 주었습니다. 

The government also paid medical expenses for all those wounded. Nearly $ 2 million was spent on emergency food and fuel for needy citizens, and assistance programs were initiated to help bring Kwangju back to normal. Grants were given to Kwangju citizens to reconstruct destroyed houses and businesses.

정부는 또한 모든 부상자들을 위한 의료비용을 지불했습니다. 구호가 필요한 시민들에게 거의 2백만 달러가 비상식품과 연료가 사용되었고 구조 프로그램이 시작되어 광주가 정상으로 회복되는데 도움이 되었습니다. 파손된 집과 기업을 복구하는 보조금도 지급되었습니다. 

Of the 2,522 citizens arrested during and immediately following the uprising, 404 were tried in military courts. All the penalties were reduced.

폭동 동안이나 직훙 2,522명 시민이 구속되었지만 404명만 군사법정에서 재판을 받았습니다. 하지만 모든 형벌은 모두 감형되었습니다. 

All eventually were released and granted amnesty. No one arrested in connection with the Kwangju uprising remains in prison.

결국 모두가 석방되고 사면되었습니다. 아무도 광주폭동사건과 관련하여 교도소에 남아있는 사람은 아무도 없습니다.   

The events of May 1980 were a deliberate plot by the ROK government to massacre innocent civilians in South Cholla Province. Nor was the U.S. involved in the incident.

1980년 5월 광주사건은 남쪽 전라도 지방에서 무고한 시민을 학살하려는 정부의 계획적인 음모에 의하여 저질러 진 것이 아닙니다. 미국이 광주사건에 연류된 것도 아닙니다. 

Given the extent of the insurrection, the death toll war remarkably low - a fact that reflects the ROK government's to minimize casualties. Those who continue to distort what happened at Kwangju should have their motives questioned.

폭동의 범위를 고려한다면 사망자통계는 현저하게 적습니다. 이 사실은 한국정부가 피해를 최소화하려고 한 것을 증명합니다. 광주에서 벌어진 사건을 계속해서 날조하는 사람들은 그들의 동기가 의문스럽습니다.

They seem determined to prevent the wounds for healing and to drive a wedge between the U.S and the Korean people.

그들은 미국과 한국인 사이에 쇄기를 박아 상처가 치유되는 것을 방해하기로 작정한 것처럼 보입니다.  

The ROK government, by contrast, has been trying to put the Kwangju incident to rest and to heal the country's physical and emotional wounds.

이와는 대조적으로 한국정부는 광주사건을 진정시키고 국가의 물리적이고  정서적인 부상을 치료하기를 애써왔습니다.

We trust above-mentioned Heritage Foundation report.

Because the report is based on the facts and truth. 

저희들은 위와 같은 헤리티지 재단의 보고서를 믿습니다.

왜냐하면 보고서는 사실과 진실에 기반을 두고 있기 때문입니다.        

We are here not  to denounce innocent Kwangju citizens.

We are here to protect our country and Kwangju citizens never to be threatened or agitated by the most notorious North Korea dictatorship

저희는 순진한 광주시민들을 규탄하기 위하여 여기에 온 것이 아닙니다. 

가장 악명 높은 북한독재정권으로부터 결코 협박되거나 선동되지 않도록 한국과 광주시민을 보호하기 위하여 여기에 왔습니다. 

North Korea soldiers their Alienation Between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers.  

북한군 그들의 광주시민과 한국군 사이의 이간질

Many defectors from North Korea disclosed that about 600 North Korea soldiers in special force came to Kwangju and killed innocent Kwangju citizens with Kelvin rifles during the investigation when they came here in South Korea at first.

북한에서 온 많은 탈북자들은 한국에 처음 입국하여 조사를 받는 동안 약 600명의 북한 특수군이 광주에 와서 무고한 광주시민을 칼빈총으로 죽였다고 진술했다고 폭로했습니다. 

Yet investigators threatened them not to tell that any more.

They were threatened even to be killed if they say that North Korea soldiers came  to Kwangju and killed innocent Kwangju citizens.

하지만 조사관들은 더 이상 말을 하지 못하도록 그들을 협박했습니다.

만약 그들이 북한군이 광주에 와서 무고한 광주시민을 죽였다고 말하면 죽을 것이라고 조사관들이 협박을 했습니다. 

That's why they were forced to write memorandum to swear not to tell above-mentioned the truth about Kwangju Incident.

때문에 그들은 광주사건에 대하여 위에서 본 진실을 말하지 않겠다는 서약서를 쓰도록 강요받았습니다.

Defectors witnessed that 62 tombs of North Korean soldiers sacrificed during Kwangju Incident were in several areas such as Haeju city, Wonsan city, and Chunma Mountain in Chungin city etc of  North Korea.

탈북자들은 북한 해주시, 원산시, 청진시 천마산 등 여러 곳에 광주사태때 죽은 62명의 북한군 무덤이 있다고 증언했습니다.  

North Korea dictator gave them the honor of heroes and special regular compensation per month more than the pay of a battalion commander.

북한독재자는 그들에게 영웅칭호의 명예를 주었고 대대장 월급보다 더 많은 보상금을 정기적으로 주었습니다.

The truth about Kwangju Incident is desirable to let the people know to prevent North Korea from threaten our national security and democracy.

광주사건에 관한 진실을 국민들에게 알리는 것이 북한이 한국의 안보와 민주주의를 위협하는 것을 저지하는데 바람직합니다.  

We have no desire to denounce innocent Kwangju citizens.

They did not know North Korea army intervened in Kwangju Incident.

저희들은 무고한 광주시민들을 규탄할 아무런 의도가 없습니다.

그들은 북한군이 광주사건에 침투 개입한 줄을 몰랐습니다.

According to the witness of defectors, ex-President Kim Dae Jung was hero in North Korea and North Korea wanted to build Kim Dae Jung government in South Korea during Kwangju Incident.

탈북자들의 증언에 의하면 김대중 전 대통령은 북한에서는 영웅이었고 광주사건동안 북한은 남한에 김대중정권을 세우기를 바랐다고 하였습니다. 

Kwangju citizens, South Korea army, South Korea government, they all did not know that North Korea soldiers in special force entered Kwangju and killed innocent Kwangju citizens and that North Korea soldiers and spies spread rumor to agitate Kwangju citizens regional unpleasant feeling by provoking alienation between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers.

광주시민, 남한 군인, 남한 정부, 그들은 모두 북한 특수군이 광주에 들어와서 무고한 광주시민을 죽이고 북한군과 간첩이 광주시민과 남한군을 이간질시키는 지역감정을 선동하는 악성 루머를 퍼뜨리는 것을 모두 몰랐습니다.

What we are saying is that North Korea soldiers, their disturbance and alienation between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers by their shooting to kill Kwangju citizens and their spreading malign rumor resulting in fighting each other between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers.

저희가 말하려는 것은 북한군 그들이 광주시민을 사살하고 악성 유언비어를 퍼뜨려 광주시민과 국군사이를 교란하고 이간질시켜 서로 싸우게 만들었다는 것입니다.

What is the truth?  Murderers were not South Korea soldiers but North Korea soldiers in special force dispatched by North Korea.

Murderers were not Kwangju citizens but North Korea soldiers.

무엇이 진실입니까?  살인자들은 한국군이 아니라 북한이 파견한 북한특수부대 군인들이었습니다. 살인자는 광주시민들이 아니라 북한군들이었습니다. 

Innocent Kwangju citizens were pitiable victims ought to be protected.

South Korea soldiers ought not be called murderer soldiers any more.

South Korea government ought not be called murder government any more. All their broken honor must be restored as victims made by North Korean soldiers and their abovementioned alienation.

무고한 광주시민들은 보호받아야 할 불쌍한 피해자들입니다. 남한군은 더 이상 살인군인들이라고 불리어 져서는 안 됩니다. 남한 정부도 더 이상 살인정권이라고 불리어 져서도 안 됩니다. 모두 그들의 훼손된 명예는 북한군과 북한군들의 이간질에 의해 만들어진 피해자로서 명예가 회복되어야 합니다. 

North Korea dictator and North Korea soldiers are murderers depriving of Kwangju citizens.

북한독재자와 북한군이 광주시민의 목숨을 빼앗은 살인자들입니다.

We appeal UNESCO Memory of the World please not to register Kwangju May 18 Incident to the List of UNESCO Memory of the World.

저희는 유네스코 세계기록유산에 제발 광주 5.18 사건을 유네스코 세계기록유산 리스트에 등록하지 말 것을 간절히 호소합니다.

If not the list is sure not only to give critical dishonor to South Korea army and government as murderers but suppress the truth of Kwangju Incident resulting in encouraging North Korea to intervene in South Korea disputes with its army in special force. That kind of list is sure to be welcomed by North Korea dictatorship.

그렇지 않는다면 리스트는 한국군과 한국정부를 살인자라는 결정적인 불명예를 줄 뿐만 아니라 광주사건의 진실을 은폐하는 결과 북한이 특수군으로 다시 남한분쟁에 침투하는 것을 고무시키는 결과를 초래하게 될 것입니다.

그런 리스트는 북한독재정권에 의하여 확실히 환영을 받을 것입니다. 

          

Recently North Korea terror sinking our navy ship resulted in death of 46 navy soldiers. International investigation team denounced North Korea's terror sinking our navy ship.

최근 북한테러로 한국 해군선박이 침몰되어 46명의 해군장병이 목숨을 잃었습니다. 국제적인 조사팀이 북한의 테러로 한국해군선박이 침몰되었다고 규탄했습니다. 

Nevertheless  North Korea insisted the report of international investigation team's report was fabricated.

그럼에도 불구하고 북한은 국제조사팀의 보고서가 조작되었다고 주장했습니다. 

In addition, South Korea pro North Korea civil group named Participation Solidarity submitted a false report to the United Nations saying that international investigation team's report was forged.

덧붙여 남한 친북단체인 참여연대는 국제조사단의 보고서가 날조되었다고 유엔에 거짓 보고서를 내었습니다.

Democratic Party in South Korea supported Participation Solidarity's false report to the United Nations. That's why we are worried about distortion of the truth.

남한내 민주당은 참여연대가 유엔에 제출한 거짓 보고서를 지지하고 나섰습니다. 때문에 저희는 진실의 왜곡에 관하여 걱정을 하고 있습니다. 

North Korea's invading South Korea during Korean War was war crime. Nevertheless here in Korea Pro North Korea civil groups and pro North Korea scholars has distorted the truth as if South Korea invaded North Korea at first contrary to the truth.

북한이 한국전쟁때 남한을 침략한 것은 전쟁범죄입니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 여기 남한 침북 민간단체들과 학자들은 마치 남한이 한국전쟁에 먼저 북한을 침략한 것처럼 진리와 반대되도록 진리를 날조해 왔습니다.  

Kwangju Incident were deteriorated by North Korea soldiers their shooting to kill innocent Kwangju citizens in order to alienate between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers.  

북한군이 광주시민과 남한군인들을 이간질시키기 위하여 무고한 광주시민을 사살하였기 때문에 광주사건이 악화되었습니다. 

Is it possible for Kwangju citizens to seized and take away weapons of 38 weapon arsenals in reserved forces and police station for only 4 hours. Defectors said it's impossible to Kwangju citizens and it was done by North Korea special force soldiers.

광주시민들이 불과 네 시간 만에 예비군과 경찰서에 보관된 39개의 무기고를 습격해 무기를 탈취하는 것이 과연 가능하겠습니까? 탈북자들은 광주시민에게는 불가능하고 북한특수부대의 짓이라고 했습니다.  

Many public institutions such as KBS, MBC, government official buildings were burned or destroyed. Even prison were attacked as many as 6 times.     

KBS, MBC 등 많은 공공시설, 정부관공서가 불타고 파괴되었습니다. 심저어 교도소까지 6차례나 습격을 받았습니다.

These are impossible to Kwangju citizens.

These can not be called democratic revolution.

These are products of North Korea special force's crime and alienation between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers.

이와 같은 것은 광주시민들에게는 불가능합니다. 

이와 같은 것은 민주주의 혁명이라 불리워질 수 없습니다.

이와 같은 것은 북한특수부대의 범죄와 이간질의 산물입니다.

North Korea publications such as South Koreans struggle against

South Korea according to the banner of Juche the philosophy of

North Korea dictator Kim Il Sung regulates that Kwangju Incident is

South Koreans struggle against South Korea army and government

and the United States with the banner of Juche the philosophy of

North Korea dictator Kim Il Sung. We cannot accept such kind of

propaganda of North Korea. 

주체의 기치에 따라 나아가는 남조선인민들의 투쟁 등 북한 간행물에 의

하면 광주 사건은 남한 주민들이 김일성 철학인 주체사상의 기치에 따라

한국군과 한국정부와 미국을 상대로 싸운 투쟁이라고 규정하고 있습니다. 

저희들은 북한의 이와 같은 자료에 동의하지 않습니다.

That's why we believe in the witness of defectors and above-mentioned the report of Heritage Foundation as stated in the accompanying sheet. That's why we denounce North Korea army intervention to Kwangju Incident. That's why we don't trust Supreme Court judgement in 1997 and Kwangju May 18 special law. 

왜냐하면 저희는 탈북자들의 증언과 위에서 본 별지기재와 같은 해리티지 재단의 보고서를 믿기 때문입니다. 때문에 저희들은 북한군부의 광주사건 침투개입을 규탄합니다. 때문에 1997년 대법원 판결과 광주 5.18 특별법을 신뢰하지 않습니다.

New Special Law and The Truth will save Kwangju citizens and the Republic of Korea    

새로운 특별법과 진실이 광주시민과 대한민국을 구할 것입니다.

So called Kwangju Special Law made by ex-President Kim Young Sam's order regulates South Korea soldiers and South Korea  government as murderer soldiers and murderer government.

김영삼 전 대통령의 명령에 따라 제정된 이른바 광주특별법은 남한군인들과 남한정부를 살인군인들과 살인정부로 규정합니다.

A group of defectors named United Free North Korea Soldiers consists of  ex- North Korea special force soldiers. It's representative Lim Chun Yong denounced at the foreword of the book named a brilliant fraud drama May 18 the substance by disclosing  that Kim Young Sam government put on Kwangju violent armed riot with a cloth of democratization and with honor of democratic fighting not by substantial analysis and scientific evidence but by illegal compromise and abnormal coalition somewhat secret connection with Kim Dae Jung power.

탈북자들의 저서 화려한 사기극의 실체 5.18 머리글에서 전 북한특수군 자유북한군인연합 대표 임천용은 “김영삼 정부가 5.18 광주사태 전반에 대한 구체적인 분석과 과학적인 근거를 전제로 해서 이 사건을 정당하게 민주화항쟁이라고 새롭게 정정한 것이 아니라 김대중 세력과의 변칙적인 타협과 제휴, 모종의 커넥션을 바탕으로 5.18 광주무장폭력사태에 분칠을 하였고 ‘민주화의 옷’을 입혀주었다고 할 수 있다”고 밝혔습니다.  

May 18 films of South Korea and North Korea denounce United States, South Korea army and South Korea government as principal murderers of Kwangju massacre.

남한과 북한의 5.18 영화는 미국과 남한군대와 남한정부를 광주대학살의 주범으로 규탄합니다.

Yet Kwanju special law and the films hiding the truth of North Korea's intervention to Kwangju Incident are far from the truth.

That's why we want to make new special law regulates North Korea soldiers as murders.

하지만 광주특별법과 남북한 5.18 영화는 모두가 북한군의 광주사건 남한침투개입을 숨겨 은폐하고 있으므로 진실과는 거리가 멉니다. 바로 그 때문에 저희는 북한군부를 살인자들로 규정하는 새로운 특별법이 제정되기를 바랍니다. 

By doing so, we will make it clear who were murderers and who were victims during Kwangju Incident. 

그렇게 함으로써 저희는 광주사태 동안에 과연 누가 살인자들이고 누가 피해자들인지를 명확히 할 수 있습니다.

By doing so, never again we will not be agitated by North Korea's alienation between Kwangju citizens and South Korea soldiers.

그렇게 함으로써 저희는 다시는 광주시민과 남한군인들을 이간질시키는 북한의 선동에 놀아나지 않을 것입니다.

If we hide the truth of Kwangju Incident, the destiny of South Korea will continue to be threatened by the most notorious dictator in North Korea.

우리가 광주사건의 진실을 숨겨 은폐한다면 남한의 운명은 계속해서 가장 악명높은 북한 독재자에 의하여 계속해 협박될 것입니다.

At the very moment we submit our petition, North Korea artillery strikes South Korean Yeonpyeong Island. Two marine were killed, more than a dozen injured. If we hide the truth of Kwangju Incident, North Korea will continue to threaten  South Korea with military attack.

저희들이 청원서를 제출하는 바로 그 순간에 북한 포병부대가 남한 연평도 섬에 대포로 공격했습니다. 2명의 해병이 죽고 10여명이 다쳤습니다. 우리가 광주사건의 진실을 숨겨 은폐한다면 북한은 계속해서 남한을 군사도발로 위협할 것입니다.   

Proverb says that  destroy the seed of evil or it will grow up to your ruin. Another proverb says truth is mightier than the sword.

격언은 악의 씨를 파괴하지 않는다면 그 씨가 자라서 여러분을 파괴할 것이라고 말합니다. 다른 격언은 진리가 칼보다 강력하다고 말합니다.

That's why we pray for the victory of the  truth.

Because the truth shall make us free.

We do not want to live as slaves but free citizens.  

때문에 저희는 진리의 승리를 위하여 기도합니다.

왜냐하면 진리가 우리를 자유케 하기 때문입니다.

우리는 노예가 아닌 자유인으로 살기를 바랍니다.

  

We are sure UNESCO Memory of the world believe in the truth.

저희는 유네스코 세계기록유산이 진리를 믿을 것이라 확신합니다.

Because the truth is sure to let us free as Jesus Christ said in the Bible. Buddha wants us to live according to the truth all the time.

성경에서 예수 그리스도는 진리가 저희를 자유케 하리라고 하였기 때문입니다.  부처님도 우리가 항상 진리에 따라 살도록 바랍니다.

We hope that Kwangju citizens their compensations paid already are to regard to be paid by new special law according to the truth of Kwangju Incident. New special law and the truth of Kwangju Incident will unite Kwangju citizens and South Korea army and government for better country and better democracy never to be threatened by North Korea dictatorship.

우리는 광주시민들 그들이 이미 받은 보상금은 광주사태의 진실에 따른 새로운 특별법에 의하여 지불된 것으로 간주하기를 희망합니다. 새로운 특별법과 광주사건의 진실이 결코 북한독재에 의하여 협박받지 않고 보다 나은 나라와 보다 나은 민주주의를 위하여 광주시민과 한국군과 한국정부를 단결시킬 것입니다. 

We firmly believe our soldiers, our government and the United States are not principals of Kwangju massacre.

저희는 한국군, 한국정부, 미국이 광주학살의 주범이라고 믿지 않습니다. 

During Korean War guerilla partizans siding with North Korea were defeated by South Korea army. Immediately after Korean War, an orphanage for the children of partizans who had fought against Korean army and the United States army was built by South Korea army, South Korea government and with the assistance of the United States. The children of partizans have been protected and educated.   

6.25때 북한측 빨치산 게릴라들은 한국군에게 패배했습니다. 한국전쟁이 끝나자 한국군과 한국정부는 미국의 원조를 받아 남한을 상대로 싸웠던 빨치산 게릴라 자녀들을 고아원에서 보호하고 교육을 시켜주었습니다. 

Is it possible that South Korea army, South Korea government and the United States who have protected and educated the children of guerilla partizans who killed South Korean soldiers and Amercan soldiers by their siding with North Korea war criminal invading South Korea. were principals of Kwangju massacre?  It is unbelievable! 

남한을 무력남침한 전범 북한편에서 한국군을 죽인 빨치산 게릴라 자녀들에게도 고아원을 차려 보호하고 교육을 시킨 한국군과 한국정부와 미국이 과연 5.18 광주학살의 주범이라는 것이 가능하겠습니까? 

도저히 믿기 어렵습니다.  

That's why we don't trust 1997 Supreme Court judgement and Kwangu May 18 Special Law.

것이 바로 1997년 대법원판결과 광주 5.18 특별법을 신뢰하지 않는 이유입니다.

That's why we firmly trust Heritage Foundation report and the witness of defectors who have come to South Korea for freedom.

그것이 바로 저희들이 헤리티지 재단 보고서와 자유를 찾아 북한에서 한국을 찾아온 탈북자들의 증언을 신뢰하는 이유입니다.
