야다[dy yada` {yaw-dah'} 라고 하는 말씀은 안다고 하는 의미로서의 내용이다. 목사의 본질을 공급하거나, 그 지성을 주입하는 것은 기독교교육이 아니라고 하는 것이다. 목사는 다만 전달자라고 하는 것이다. 전달을 하려면 전달할 내용이 있어야 하는 것이다. 하나님의 것을 전달해야 하는 것이 목사의 기본 임무라고 하는 것이다. 하나님의 통로로서의 기능적인 것인데, 하나님의 통로를 막아 놓고 자기의 것을 전달하면 문제가 발생하는 데, 이는 소도 제 주인을 알고 나귀도 제주인의 구유를 알지만, 하나님의 이름을 알고 있는 자들이 하나님의 본질을 모르게 되는 문제가 발생하게 되는 것이다.

하나님의 본질을 모르게 되면 하나님의 것을 전달받지 못했다는 말이 되는 것이다. 이사야의 외침은 바로 그것에 있게 되는 것이다. 하나님의 것을 전달하는 것을 그친 그 시대의 영적인 지도자들과 하나님의 것을 전달받기를 싫어 하는 그 시대의 사람들의 선택을 책망하는 것이라고 하는 것이다. 하나님의 것을 전달 받지 못한다면 하나님의 이름은 알아도 그의 본질은 모르게 된다고 하는 것이다.

오늘 날 하나님을 믿는 교회가 가지고 있는 문제점은 하나님의 본질을 전달하는 작업의 길을 가로막고 나서는 자들이 발생했다는 것과 그들을 좋아하는 자들이 다수를 이루고 있다는 것에 있는 것이다. 이런 국가적인 위기에 처해지면 하나님의 본질을 가진 자들은 곧 바로 이것은 아주 심각한 현실임을 알게 되는 것이다.

이는 하나님의 본질로 이를 알아내기 때문이다. 이를 본질끼리 통하는 啓示라고 해서 야다라고 하는 말을 쓴다. 야다가 곧 그것을 말하는 것이라고 하는 것이다. 하나님은 그런 야다가 없는 백성을 책망하시고 있는 것이다. 그런 야다가 없는 백성은 사랑의 의미를 알지 못한다고 하는 것이다. 사랑이 없다는 것은 곧 그 시대의 양육강식의 고삐가 풀려졌다는 것을 의미하기 때문이다. 따라서 강한자의 먹이로 전락되는 세대로 진입되게 하는 것이라고 하는 것이 이사야의 경고이라고 본다.
